July 1927
Mikawa Dyeing & Weaving Experiment Station was established in Mitani-cho, Hoi District.
Apr. 1945
The laboratory was integrated with Aichi Prefectural Textile Experiment Station and became the Mikawa Branch.
Apr. 1948
Became independent as Aichi Mikawa Textile Experiment Station
Feb. 1950
Toyohashi Laboratory was set up in Nakano-cho, Toyohashi.
Mar. 1959
Toyohashi Laboratory was moved to new facilities in current location (Maedaminami-machi, Toyohashi).
Apr. 1973
Main facility was moved to new facilities in current location (Otsuka-cho, Gamagori), and the name was changed to Aichi Mikawa Textile Research Center.
Apr. 2002
Name changed to AITEC (Aichi Industrial Technology Institute) Mikawa Textile Research Center.
Jan. 2012
Name changed to Mikawa Textile Research Center, Aichi Center for Industry and Science Technology.
Apr. 2012
Toyohashi Laboratory was integrated with main facility.
